Guide to authors
Short or long articles may be published. In general, 20 000 words would be the maximum length for an article.
Articles or contributions that have been published elsewhere will not be considered.
All research papers, reviews and opinion pieces must be submitted in electronic form, while following the parenthetical or “Harvard system” of referencing. If you are unfamiliar with this system, consult the Wikipedia article.
Additional footnotes are acceptable, but these must be kept at a minimum.
Articles may be submitted in the following languages: English (both British and American), Afrikaans, French, German and Dutch.
Quotations longer than one or two sentences must be shown in a separate paragraph which could use “block quote” HTML formatting.
Where the names of cities are used in citations, they must given in the language of the text, such as “Londen” (Afrikaans) or “Londres” (French).
